Electronic Air Cleaner

Who wants indoor air pollutants? Nobody, but these harmful materials are present in the air inside our homes. They are even rank as one of the top five environmental health risks. There are two types of pollutants that can affect the quality of air inside our homes: particulate matter and gaseous pollutants. An electronic air cleaner will help clean the air inside your home.

Particulate matter are the dust, smoke, pollen, animal dander, tobacco smoke, particles from the combustion of appliances like cooking stoves and particles that are associated with tiny organisms like dust mites, molds, bacteria and viruses. Gaseous pollutants, on the other hand, come from combustion processes like gas cooking stoves, vehicle exhaust and tobacco smoke. They can also be from building materials, furnishings, and the use of products like adhesives, paints, varnishes, cleaning products and pesticides.

People want to remove or control these pollutants. One way of doing that is to improve our homes ventilation. However, sometimes, the ventilation method is constrained by weather conditions. You do not want to open your window when it is raining or in winter! In addition, you do not want to open your windows when you know that there are also undesirable levels of contaminants present in the air outside.

Therefore, the most effective way to remove these pollutants is through a cleaning device such as an electronic air cleaner. These devices remove pollutants are designed to remove pollutants from indoor air. Depending on the cleaner, it can be used to clean the air in a single room or specific areas.

However, there are two types of air cleaning devices that you can use: mechanical air filters and electronic air cleaners. This type of cleaning devices can help you remove particles from the air. Mechanical air filters can remove particles by capturing them on filter materials. It uses the HEPA or High Efficiency Particulate Air filter technology. The other type of cleaning device that we want to introduce to you is the electronic air cleaners.

An electronic air cleaner is an advanced, easy to use, whole house solution. They can trap and filter up to 98% of the pollutants from the air by passing through your heating and cooling system. Other than large particles like mold spores and cat dander they can also capture microscopic impurities like dust, smoke and smog particles.

So how do this type of cleaner work? It works by placing an electric charge on airborne particles. Then it collects the charged pollutants like a magnet. It employs a three-stage filtration with electrostatic post filter. This improves filtration with reduced resistance to airflow. It has a state of the art air filtration system that effectively removes bacteria, pollen, animal dander and other pollutants as small as 0.01 microns.

This type of cleaner like electrostatic precipitators uses the electrostatic attraction process to trap charged particles. The air is drawn through an ionization section where particles obtain an electrical charge. These charged particles will then accumulate on a series of flat plates called a collector that is oppositely charged. Ion generators or ionizers then dispersed charged ions into the air. These ions attach to airborne particles, giving the particles a charge. This charge will allow them to attach to nearby surfaces like walls or furniture, or attach to one another and settle faster.

With an electronic air cleaner you do not need to replace your filters, all you have to do is wash them in your dishwasher or sink. There is even an alarm in the system, which signals you to wash the filter cells.
