Indoor Air Purifiers

Ionic Air Cleaner

Air, food and shelter: these are the necessities of human life. They are the key ingredients that fuel a living organism. Without those, how are we to survive? Let us make the scenario a little bit out of the ordinary: how about if you have abundant food and shelter but with abundant dirty, polluted air? Will life still be easy and comfortable? An ionic air cleaner would be considered a necessity.

Air pollution has been considered a serious menace to human health. The risk is so high simply because humans need to breathe air to live. Wherever we go, we take in air. Unfortunately, even with this knowledge various anthropogenic activities result to making the atmosphere impure. The outputs of these activities congregate and reach a certain level that is detrimental to human life. Air pollutants vary from toxic gases to liquid and solid particulates. These unwanted particles surround humans and attack in a very silent manner. The effect is manifested through various diseases. This scenario is very frustrating that many of us would not surely favor.

So can we still purify the air we breathe? Of course, we certainly can. The booming technology today can give us uncountable solutions. One of the noted and crowd-drawing products today is air purifiers. Different types work differently and the mechanism to which air is cleaned depends solely on the technology used. Ionization is one useful method. This is not a new technology as the process occurs naturally in the forms of lightning and waterfalls. Ionization is the process by which a molecule looses or gains an electron. A positive air ion has lost an electron while a negative air ion has gained an electron. Both are produced in nature but in terms of making one feel good, negative air ions are preferred. Negative ions are produced naturally in running water, rainstorms, waterfalls, cosmic rays and ultraviolet lights. Negative air ions are actually minute at the start but they become bigger and heavier as they collide with other particles, usually those which are positively charged.

In air filtering, negative air ions attract other particles such as dust, pollen and even smaller particles and binds to these particles. When heavy enough, the newly formed particles (negative air ions and other particles causing air impurities) fall to the ground, leaving the surrounding air fresher and cleaner. An Ionic air cleaner is said to be helpful. The process is said to improve oxygen uptake, improves moods, lessens fatigue and stress, promote cleaner lungs by making the beating of the cilia in lungs better, and it reduces infection through removal of pollen, dust, bacteria and other allergens thereby boosting your immune system.

Many ionic air cleaners are in the market. These products were created to improve air quality especially indoors where most of the activities of people are concentrated. Ionic air purifiers work by producing negative air ions. The technology allows for the free flowing of negative air ions through the emitters attached to it thereby increasing the number of available negative air ions in the surrounding air. The emitters have needles that propel that flow of negative air ions in the room. The presence then of millions of negative air ions attracts impurities and drops them to the floor, thereby making the air circulating inside the building or one’s house clean. These products then keep you away from unwanted maladies. Thanks to the presence of negative air ions.
